“The Skydiver”

When I heard the prompt “Sailing on your own compass”, my thoughts immediately went to a ship, soaring through the sky. I often look up at the sky in seek of direction, so this prompt was referring directly back to that for me.
This painting describes freedom, to sail in whichever direction you choose to sail in. In the sky, there is no waves to hold you back.
The process was sketching, cleaning up and adding rough linework, then putting down flat colors underneath, and finally painting. Everything was digitally done.
